Silk, or Aerial Silk, is a dance form often performed in a circus or variety show. Using a specially crafted fabric attached to the ceiling, one dances, so to speak, in the air. In this unique style of dance, you learn about climbing techniques, specific figures, so-called drops that make it look like you're falling from the ceiling, and many other tricks to master aerial acrobatics. The dance takes place entirely without contact with the floor. Movements are executed in the air using one's own body strength and the support of the fabric.
